From 2017 to 2021 the Titans and Jaguars faced off ten times. The Titans won nine of those ten matchups, dominating the divisional rivalry with ease. The Jaguars have had a bit more success as of late, but the Titans have owned the rivalry for quite some time overall. And as it turns out, that dominance is not just limited to the football field.
Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence hosted his second annual Procter & Gamble "Battle of the Paddles" table tennis tournament at Super BowlLVIII on Wednesday. When it came time for him to face off against Titans quarterback Will Levis things didn't go too well for the Lawrence.
As you can see below in the highlights of the matchup, Will Levis destroyed Lawrence slam after slam, with the final score ending at 15-8.
Levis had him on the ropes the whole game with his aggressive play. It's funny, but Levis' approach with ping pong matches his on-field style of play perfectly. And just like Levis does on the field, he constantly took his shots, never seeming to care where the ball was going to land.
Luckily, Lawrence played like his late-season self and found a way to play too conservatively while still make critical unforced errors, blowing any shot at a victory.
The future is still unwritten for these two starting NFL quarterbacks. They both have displayed a mixed bag of highlight moments and terrible let downs in their still quite young careers. Only time will tell which one finds the most success. And they'll likely have at least a few more chances to face off against each other on the football field here soon.
We may not know who will win this coming fall on the field, but Levis certainly carried on the great Titans tradition of dominating the Jaguars, at least for now.
