Dak Prescott will take the field on Sunday afternoon for the Dallas Cowboys Wild Card clash against the Green Bay Packers. But for this run, he will be without one of his best friend.

But only on the field.

Following seven seasons in Dallas, star running back Ezekiel Elliott decided to head elsewhere to continue his career. He signed with the New England Patriots on a one year deal for the 2023 season.

But Elliott's season did not go the way he had hoped, with the Patriots really struggling. However, that opened his schedule for the playoffs.

And instead of going away, Elliott went back to where he began his career. Specifically, sitting in a box at AT&T Stadium.

With the Cowboys, Elliott was a three-time Pro Bowler, leading the league in rushing yards in 2016 and 2018. However, when he left for the Patriots, their offensive struggles meant that Elliott has his worst career year.

He finished the 2023 season with 184 carries for 642 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns along with 51 receptions for 313 yards and two touchdowns.

The Patriots also played against the Cowboys this season, with Elliott making his return to AT&T Stadium. He was met with love from the fanbase and him and Prescott shared a moment after the game.

And now he is there to cheer his best friend on as the Cowboys start the journey to make the Super Bowl.

Safe to say Elliott is rooting for his former team.
