• Scrambling
  Can escape the pocket when flooded with pressure, maneuvering to green grass while keeping his eyes downfield
• Arm Talent
  Plus arm that can dart multiple areas of the field often without his feet set
• Toughness
  Unafraid to stick in the pocket with rushers bearing down. Will wait till the last minute to hit open windows

• Mechanics
  Elongated release that allows passes to be batted at the line and doesn’t always throw with his feet under him
• Internal Clock
  Appreciate the will to stay in the fire but seems to occasionally forget he needs to get the ball out and will force errant last-second passes or take ill-advised sacks

  Started his career in a long mesh system that is foreign to the NFL before transitioning to a PPO (pure progression offense)

Hartman is an experienced QB who could help a team on day one as a third-teamer or practice squad member.

He has some desirable traits but lacks high-end talent or elite measurables required of most NFL-caliber QBs.

Hartman’s toughness, arm strength, and scrambling will be traist he hangs his hat on for a long NFL career.
