Turnovers were one of the themes of the Baltimore Ravens’ 17-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game.
The Ravens turned the football over a total of three times against the Chiefs. They tallied a pair of turnovers in the fourth quarter alone, including Zay Flowers’ costly fumble in the red zone.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson turned the football twice against Kansas City. Forn one, he threw an interception to Deon Bush in the fourth quarter.
Jackson sees that had it not been for the Ravens’ three turnovers on the day, they would have been the ones punching their ticket to Super Bowl 58.
"I felt like if we wouldn't have turned the ball over, we definitely would have had a shot," Jackson said during his postgame press conference. "We definitely would have came out with a win, but they did a great job not turning the ball over and putting points on the board."
Jackson added that he came away from the game "angry."
"I'm angry about losing," Jackson said. "We were a game away from the Super Bowl. We've been waiting all this time, all these moments for an opportunity like this, and we fell short, but I feel like our team is going to build."
Jackson recorded 34 total touchdowns this season, including the playoffs.
