Defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs is an extremely difficult task. The Baltimore Ravens were the latest team to learn this past Sunday. Only three teams have done so since Patrick Mahomes took over at quarterback, and two of those teams had Tom Brady under center.

Joe Burrow remains to be the only other opposing QB to topple Mahomes in the postseason, as the Cincinnati Bengals made it past Kansas City on its way to a Super Bowl appearance two years ago.

As long as Mahomes is their quarterback, the Chiefs will be the final obstacle for any AFC team, such as the Bengals, to win the Lombardi Trophy.

A pending free agent wants nothing more than a chance to take them down, and that makes him an ideal fit with the Bengals.

Las Vegas Raiders right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor made it known over X/Twitter Monday afternoon that his goal is to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. Despite acknowledging that the Raiders beat the Chiefs in the regular season, he wants a crack at them in the postseason.

Eluemunor fits what the Bengals need

Eluemunor is scheduled to be a free agent when March rolls around. If he's looking for a chance to fulfill his goal, what better way to do it than protecting the only other active QB who's experienced such a victory?

The Bengals make a lot of sense as a landing spot for the 29-year old tackle. Cincinnati is expected to let Jonah Williams walk in free agency, which will create a massive hole at right tackle. The club could invest in a replacement via the upcoming NFL Draft, but acquiring a veteran placeholder beforehand would be ideal.

Entering the draft without a capable starter at right tackle is irresponsible at best. Eluemunor has proven to be exactly that over the past two years out in Vegas. His Pass Blocking Efficiency score via Pro Football Focus since 2022 is just over 97. That would be the highest out of any Bengals offensive lineman from 2023.

Eluemunor also played two seasons with the New England Patriots when Bengals center Ted Karras was his teammate for a season. He was also with the Baltimore Ravens when Bengals left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. began his career.

The Bengals have the fifth-best odds of winning the Super Bowl next year, but they need to ensure Burrow's offensive line will be up for the task. That need exists as much as Eluemunor's need to battle the Chiefs when it counts. He'd find no better spot than in the Queen City.
