The Las Vegas Raiders are in jeopardy of losing their best asset on the coaching staff.
When Antonio Pierce was hired back on as the full-time head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders on January 19, it was clear that he would keep defensive coordinator Patrick Graham around for the foreseeable future.
Graham took a terrible roster on that side of the ball and turned them into a top-ten defense in the league after two years. Now, other people are paying attention to what he has done.
Before Pierce was hired as a head coach, the Seattle Seahawks interviewed Graham for the head coaching gig, as Pete Carroll has since retired from coaching. Now, as are a few of the other candidates, he is one step closer to getting the job.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Seattle Seahawks are setting up second interviews with head coaching candidates, including Carlina Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, Raiders DC Patrick Graham, New York Giants OC Mike Kafka, Los Angeles Rams DC Raheem Morris, and Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn.
Moving on to a second interview usually means they are strongly considering you, along with the others. If Graham gets offered the job and takes it, the Raiders will have to find a new defensive coordinator along with a new offensive coordinator.
