The Las Vegas Raiders need to figure out their quarterback situation for the 2024 season. Last season, they thought they had Jimmy Garoppolo, and that obviously didn't work. Aidan O'Connell had some great moments, but he isn't a franchise guy. So, something else must be done.
With the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders will likely struggle to have an abundance of QBs to pick from when it's their turn to pick guys that can be franchise QBs. That's what they need, so you kind of have to explore every option.
However, there are some things you need to stay away from. One NFL insider revealed his pick for who the Raiders could go for this offseason, and fans will hate it.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Raiders should go after Russell Wilson. Here is what he had to say about that move.
The Raiders need a vet, and they are one of Wilson's original teams he wanted to go to in 2021… He'd stay in the AFC West… Antonio Pierce will be in win-now mode after earning the job.
Let's just start by saying this: It's nothing against Wilson as a human because I happen to love the guy and the work he does off of the field. However, he would not fit the culture of that locker room at all. It's hard to imagine him smoking a cigar after a win. Then again, you could say the same thing about O'Connell.
Secondly, there is a reason he is likely to be let go by the Broncos. He hasn't been great. This year was better than before. However, he still wouldn't be that much of an upgrade. The Raiders need to start fresh with a rookie, not another guy who could be another Jimmy Garoppolo.

Now the Raiders must build out their staff.
