Since taking over as offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, Joe Brady has made quite the impression.

On Saturday, the Atlanta Falcons announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that they had interviewed Brady for their head coach opening.

And while the likelihood of him landing this job is slim, it does mean good things for his future.

The Falcons are interviewing a lot of candidates, but this is a major confidence boost for Brady who is being grouped in with talented coaches such as Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh.

While Belichick is most likely to land this job opening, getting attention despite having spent such a short amount of time in a coordinator position could mean teams will be giving Brady a much closer look in the coming years.

So while he most likely won't get the job, it could mean that Brady could be on the fast track to land an open head coaching gig in 2025 or in the years to follow.

The interim offensive coordinator has had a steady path throughout his career, getting his first gig in the NFL during the 2017 season as an offensive assistant. He remained there for two seasons, but went to LSU in 2019 as the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. And that definitely worked out, with Brady winning a National Championship in his only season there.

He came back to the NFL in 2020 with the Panthers as offensive coordinator, but was fired in December of 2021. He joined the Bills the following season and went from quarterbacks coach to interim offensive coordinator after the team decided to fire Ken Dorsey following some really poor performances this year.

Brady turned things around for the team, truly utilizing the run games. Josh Allen is one of the best quarterback's in the game, able to get passes off that often leave some speechless. But with James Cook featured more in the backfield, it made the offense more unpredictable. And because of that, they were harder to defend.

And who knows what could happen next season between Brady and Allen, with the two having more time to work and develop together. This could elevate his potential as a head coach candidate.

Don't be surprised to see his name thrown into these conversations more in the coming years.
