The Baltimore Ravens surprised many on their way to this season’s AFC title game.

The Ravens did not enter the 2023 season among the heavy favorites to reach the AFC title game. They ultimately clinched both the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the AFC North title en route to securing a spot in the AFC title game for the first time since the 2012 season.

While the Ravens came up just short of reaching the Super Bowl, Lamar Jackson sees plenty of positives from Baltimore’s 2023 campaign.

"Nobody thought we [were] going to be in this position, new system, new guys, whole new team," Jackson said after Baltimore’s AFC title game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

"We've got some vets that came on with the team. People didn't think we were going to be in this position, but we [were]."

As Jackson touched on, the Ravens had multiple veteran players up their play this year. On the defensive side of the ball, the likes of Jadeveon Clowney and Michael Pierce proved to Baltimore that they still have much left in the tank at this stage in their careers.

A crucial offseason now awaits Baltimore in the coming months.
