The New Orleans Saints will most likely need to replace wide receiver Michael Thomas during this offseason. With limited cap space, draft capital may be the route to his replacement.

Former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley is at the Senior Bowl. So far, he looks like one of the top offensive talents in attendance.

Corley would be a great candidate for the Saints at WR on day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

At 5'11, you may question his size. Corley plays bigger than his height and weighs in at 215 pounds. That is a thick frame for his stature, and the Saints like that in their skill position players.

Additionally, the former WKU wideout has a unique ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. With strong hands, he can secure tough catches then make at least one defender miss quite often. Corley shows more explosiveness on film than many prospects with better measurables.

All in all, he's a tough receiver that can make a lot happen after the catch. There's a reason that he was so productive during his college days year-after-year. Scheming touches his way will be a smart move for any NFL team.

Corley is a bowling ball from the perimeter which creates problems for defenses as they aren’t prepared for his level of physicality and dense frame. When given manufactured touches you can see how Corley is a Swiss Army knife that can align in the slot or out of the backfield and make plays with the ball in his hands. Teams will be concerned about how long he can play the way he wants before getting injured, along with his rawness as a true WR. But for organizations that need a spark or influx of dynamic talent, Corley fits the bill. — Rob Gregson, A to Z Sports

For New Orleans, Corley could slide into a role alongside Rashid Shaheed, who can also provide big plays downfield in a different way. Shaheed's speed, accompanied by Corley's elusiveness, can make for a dynamic duo.

Not to mention, Chris Olave headlines the wide receiver group as one of the most well-rounded young receivers in the NFL. Seocnd-year WR A.T. Perry projects as the big-body/contested catch player in the Saints offense next season, too.

By adding Corley, New Orleans would have one of the most talented pass catching rooms in the NFC. Their variety in abilities and upside would give the best chance to Derek Carr to succeed in their offense.

The Saints would be smart to target Corley as a potential replacement for Michael Thomas on day 2 of this year's NFL Draft.
