Dak Prescott had an MVP-like performance against the New York Giants, connecting with Jake Ferguson and Brandin Cooks for a touchdown while running for one himself in the first half of the game.

But right out of halftime, Prescott found Michael Gallup deep down the right sideline for a 41-yard touchdown. The scoring play pushed the scoreboard to 35-7, which might seem like nothing but the cherry on top of a glorious beatdown sundae.

But in a way, it was a major favor to a struggling teammate who desperately needed a moment to get his coaching staff excited about his play. Gallup hasn't been himself in the contested catches department, which was once his bread and butter. Perhaps this will give him more looks when they seem to be coming at a premium for him.

Early in the game, the Cowboys clearly gave Gallup the bench treatment after his struggles continued in Philadelphia in Week 9. Only days removed from his costly drop against the Eagles, he was nowhere to be found while the wide receiver rotation featured CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks but also Jalen Tolbert and even Jalen Brooks ahead of him.

Near the end of the third quarter, as soon as Gallup got a one-on-one against man-coverage, Prescott pulled the trigger, stepping up in the pocket and launching a bomb to connect for six.

Prescott was pulled from the game in the fourth quarter, finishing his day with 26 completions in 35 attempts for 404 yards and five total touchdowns (four passing, one rushing).
