As was the case against the Seattle Seahawks, Keaton Mitchell went on to make the most out of each of his touches in the Baltimore Ravens’ home loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Unfortunately for Mitchell, he rushed the football just three times against the Browns, and he ended up tallying 34 rushing yards to go along with one touchdown. He also hauled in one reception for 32 receiving yards in the contest.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said after the game that the lack of touches for Mitchell following the rookie’s 39-yard rushing touchdown was "just kind of the way it went as far as the play calling."
Gus Edwards is hoping to see Mitchell be more involved in Baltimore’s offense beginning in the team’s upcoming home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"[Keaton Mitchell] is doing great," Edwards said after Baltimore’s loss to Cleveland. "He’s playing great football right now. Next week, I know we’re going to keep getting him more involved in the offense."
On Edwards’ part, he is looking to bounce back from a 2.2 yards per rush attempt outing.
"We've just got to play better — me included," Edwards said. "I’ve got to make more plays on the ground."
The Ravens will look to complete a regular season series sweep over the Bengals on Thursday.
