The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to gather a former Pro Bowler for a mere seventh-round pick over the offseason.

And while it seemed like a low-risk, high-reward move at the time, the former may be true, but the latter has been anything but:

Robinson was a dynamic WR during his time in Jacksonville, and even early on in his tenure in Chicago.
Things went south after he signed with the Los Angeles Rams last season, making him an easy acquisition for Pittsburgh, who gave up a late day three pick and had the Rams pick up the majority of his remaining salary.
Well, when you see that he has played and started in every game this year, but is averaging about two catches and 17 yards a game while having yet to reach the endzone, you see why he wasn't exactly putting teams in bidding wars.
So staying in Pittsburgh past this year may be difficult for Robinson, but he has been terrific in one key area…
Blocking:
Now, I know, WRs aren't paid to block, but Robinson has done all the dirty work for Pittsburgh this year and is excelling at it, proving to be a catalyst for the run games explosion over the last two weeks.
So is he fighting for his job? Yes. Is he a dynamic threat at WR? No.
But giving credit where it's due, Robinson has been the ultimate team player, and is doing whatever it takes to win.
