Joe Brady gave a shout out to a player that many might not have expected after the Buffalo Bills' win over the New York Jets.

Despite not having a single catch in the game, receiver Gabe Davis was the best player on the field in his mind.

"You don't just show up on Sunday and just have success," Brady said. "Gabe Davis had zero catches in the game but in my mind, he was the player of the game."

It was a selfless mindset what he was doing in the run game, what he was doing in the pass game to get certain guys open and what not," Brady added. "So often times we see stats and it doesn't paint the whole picture of how the game is being played."

Davis is in his fourth year with the Bills and has proven to be a solid weapon for them since being drafted in 2020. So far this season he has 33 receptions on 55 targets for 490 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games.

And while his efforts on Sunday didn't show on the stats sheet, it's clear that he was invaluable and his contributions were recognized by the coaching staff.

Sunday's win was also the first game for Brady as the interim offensive coordinator after the Bills let go of Ken Dorsey due to a 5-5 start this season. And he didn't disappoint.
