The Las Vegas Raiders, like they always do, have had a bit of drama surrounding the team this year. Sure, Davante Adams not being happy is one example, but there is another one that, as things currently stand, is much more important. That drama would be the Hunter Renfrow situation, only Renfrow hasn't been the one stirring the pot.

In a way, the Raiders have been the ones causing the drama. They signed Renfrow to a huge extension, where he now makes $32 million, and then have basically refused to make him any part of the offensive game plan on game days. That has caused him to be a huge part of trade conversations for the upcoming October 31 trade deadline.

Now there is a rumor that Hunter Renfrow's relationship with Josh McDaniels has been fractured.

"No, that's not – first of all, I've never heard that," head coach Josh McDaniels said on Saturday. "That's certainly not the case. I think Hunter [Renfrow] is a great guy. I think Hunter has had a really productive career so far, and again, I think part of this is I need to focus on the things I can do to help him continue to improve. And we have other players, too.

"Those guys come along and do some things too, and that's the nature of when you have skill players that they all want the ball, and they all can do things to get the ball. Sometimes decisions, whether it's personnel groupings or schemes or what have you, can affect that obviously. So, the bottom line is Hunter is still a really good football player and needs to be a part of our plan to help us win, and I need to do everything I can do to help ourselves do that."

The Raiders have to get Renfrow involved if they are going to trade him. Even if they are going to, they have done a terrible job of showcasing what they are willing to trade, which is only making it harder to trade Renfrow. My guess is he will be traded or released by the trade deadline date. If he is, the Raiders won't get much in return.

As far as McDaniels, this all falls on him. He should have gotten Renfrow, who is still a very good player, more integrated from the get-go. Now, Renfrow will soon be looking for a new house to purchase.
