Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are known as two of the best football coaches in history.

And this comes as no surprise as the two worked together during Belichick's tenure as Cleveland Browns head coach, with Saban serving as defensive coordinator.

However, Belichick is receiving a lot of hate this season due to the Patriots poor performance. And during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Saban was asked about his opinion of Belichick

The Alabama head coach did not hold back.

"I do think Bill is one of the best coaches of all time," Saban said. "From the standpoint of very well organized, organizes everybody in the organization, has everyone on the same page, and that's why he's had a lot of success on a consistent basis for a long time."

"So I learned a lot from him, and probably a lot of any success that we've had has been influence dramatically by the time that I spent and the things that I learned from Bill Belichick."

Their friendship was highlighted in the 2019 HBO documentary, “Belichick and Saban: The Art of Coaching." And during that, you can see the similarities in their coaching style, with both known to be tough.

Yet, they do this to make sure their players are the best they can be.

During his tenure with the Patriots, Belichick has led the team to six Super Bow championships. Yet, Saban has his friend beat, winning seven National Championships as a head coach (one with LSU in 2003 and six with Alabama since taking over in 2007).

But if we are getting really specific, Belichick has an additional two Super Bowl Championships from his time as the defensive coordinator with the New York Giants. (So, technically he wins).

The two have each other's backs, but also are known to be honest, so receiving this praise from Saban despite everything the Patriots have gone through this season is very telling.
