The one thing that most people figure out very fast about the NFL is that it is a copycat league.

Good teams create schemes and plans, and then teams that want to be good find ways to emulate the successes of the better teams.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't a great team right now, but that could change on the offensive side of the ball if they can properly steal one of the most interesting/annoying/successful plays in football from the Philadelphia Eagles.

You should immediately know what we are talking about.

The Tush Push/Brotherly Shove has become one of the most controversial things in football right now all because it has revolutionized the way the Eagles can look at the four-down process.

In recent years, teams have started to get a bit more aggressive on fourth and short, but the Eagles have taken this to a whole new level. Philly has built a play around one of the best offensive lines and strongest quarterbacks in football and created something that usually has a higher success rate than an average pass from a quarterback.

It is truly impressive.

While most teams look at it as if they have three downs to get ten yards, the Eagles are able to see a series as three plays to eight or nine. The implication in a game of numbers is dramatic, and the success of this play is a huge reason why the Eagles have one of the best offenses in the NFL right now.

Love it or hate it, the tush push is here to stay for right now, and that is why it is good news that the Buccaneers are trying to steal the play for themselves.

After a few years of watching Tom Brady crush the fourth and short run himself, it makes sense that the Bucs would try to take something similar and build it around a stronger, more athletic Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield is already a great rusher as is, and being able to put him in a situation behind a line that merely has to get lower than the opponent and fall forward is far from a bad call.

The one area of concern for the Bucs is that other teams have tried to copy the Eagles to very little luck. The Tush Push has looked less than stellar with some of the other teams that try their hands at it, and the Bucs need to be mindful of this when they craft their play and how they play to their strengths and weakness.

This may be a bit of a gamble here, but anything would make the offense better at this point. Why not try something that has a chance at revolutionizing the way the team looks at offense?
