On the heels of a crucial road win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Baltimore Ravens now have their sights set on a home clash with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9.
The Ravens entered their Week 8 matchup against the Cardinals as the overwhelming favorite to pick up a win in the contest. To the Cardinals' credit, they made it quite interesting late, as they orchestrated three scoring drives in the fourth quarter. Baltimore did hold on in the end to move to a 6-2 record on the season.
The Seahawks are coming off of a convincing home win over the Cleveland Browns. Seattle scored a touchdown on three out of its five total trips to the red zone, and its defense came away with three takeaways on the day.

One storyline to watch for Baltimore
Can the Ravens make life difficult for Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith in the pocket?
The Ravens have been racking up sacks with relative ease as of late. Baltimore leads the NFL in sacks with 31, and defensive tackle Justin Madubuike has led the way with 6.5 sacks.
Seattle’s offensive line has worked overtime to keep Geno Smith’s jersey clean this season, as the veteran quarterback has been sacked a mere 14 times in seven games played.
If the Ravens can regularly cause havoc in the backfield in Week 9, then Smith may be in for a long day.
2 Ravens players to watch in Week 9
Gus Edwards
The Ravens’ call to not pull off a move for Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry ahead of this season’s NFL trade deadline sure showed just how much confidence they have in Gus Edwards.
Edwards has led Baltimore’s rushing attack ever since J.K. Dobbins went down with a season-ending torn Achilles injury in Week 1. He currently leads the team in yards from scrimmage with 533, and he has also scored five total touchdowns.
It is now time for Edwards to prove that the Ravens did not make a mistake by opting not to go all in to bring in Henry.
Rashod Bateman
Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman had the most productive outing of his season in the win over the Cardinals. He tallied a season-high 52 yards from scrimmage against Arizona, with 29 such yards coming from a pivotal reception on Baltimore’s opening drive of the contest.
The Ravens sure could use an encore showing from Bateman against Seattle.
