There are many opponents on Tennessee's schedule where one could point and say that rivalry could end up with some chippiness.  Not many people would have put their finger on Connecticut.

Yet indeed it was against UConn on Saturday that saw some chirping and awkward exchanges.  It began in the pregame, where UConn players had to be walked back to their half of the field while the teams warmed up, with head Coach Josh Heupel getting involved.

The sides calmed down, and the teams ended up playing a relatively clean game as far as having any bench-clearing moments, with Tennessee rolling to a 59-3 victory.  However, the oddness arose again when UConn head coach Jim Mora, Jr. appeared to blow past Heupel with a quick handshake, which drew a look back and grin from Heupel.  Heupel didn't shed any light on the encounter in his postgame press conference.

However, while Tennessee's head coach might not have had anything to say about the awkward encounter, one of his best defensive players got a last laugh as the UConn players were leaving the field. Defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott weaved through the UConn players as they filed off the field towards the locker room while waving the Power T flag and also reportedly having some words for the Huskies.

No one appeared to say much back, with a few players looking over to see what the big Tennessee lineman was doing.  However, the situation was indicative of the fact that UConn's players obviously were doing some things before and possibly during the game that Tennessee players did not like.

Some might say it's silly or unnecessary to troll or otherwise clap back against a far inferior level of opponent like UConn is to Tennessee.  However, if someone wants to mess with the bull enough times, they might just get the horns.
