Davante Adams is literally one of the best players in the league, even if his stats don't support that claim so far this season. The Las Vegas Raiders receiver has been doing this for so long now, at the highest level possible, too. But, the receiver position is one of the positions in the league that is so dependent on everyone around him to do their job.

The offensive line has to block for the quarterback to have time to throw it to the wide receiver. And even then, if the quarterback doesn't throw it, he doesn't throw it. They have to depend on someone else to deliver the ball to them. It's a tough position in the league, for sure.

Earlier this season, before Josh McDaniels was fired, the All-Pro receiver told everyone how he felt about how little he was getting the ball. Not that he wanted more targets because he's selfish, but because he knows how much easier it is to win when Davante Adams is getting a bigger workload. And he's right. Those comments were blunt, but they were true.

His comments after this game, a 30-6 win over the New York Giants, were a little different despite not having a great game.

"It's about how it looks, and it looked like it's supposed to look out there," Adams told reporters. "We weren't perfect by any means, but we were able to run the ball and do things that we set out to do since I've been here, and one way or the other, we figured it out. So I'm not concerned with that. Like I said, all that other stuff will take care of itself.

"But do I want to catch more balls? Of course. Why would I not? But, I mean, at the end of the day, like I told you before, this isn't about me. This is about the team, and my whole want to catch more balls is to turn 30 [points] into 40 or 50. I mean, that's why it's for the team, so I'm good with it."

Adams was on the winning team and the team that won in a blowout, dominant fashion but didn't have the best game. He had four catches for 34 yards and was third on the team in receiving behind rookie Tre Tucker and Jakobi Meyers. But, in this case, it's okay.

They won by a lot, and the game was never in doubt because of how well the silver and black were playing every facet of the game, whether it be the offensive pass game, the run game, or even the defense, which was also amazing.

Obviously, this was just one game, but it was a huge one for the Raiders and their offense. Now, let's see if Adams will have a similar attitude for the rest of the season.
