The Philadelphia Eagles selected seven players in the 2023 NFL Draft this past April.
Some of the rookies have gotten to see some real action at the next level while others are still waiting for their number to be called.
With the midseason mark upon us, we're going to check in with the rookies and hand out grades to those who have played a role in the Birds' 8-1 start to the season.
DT Jalen Carter: Round 1, pick 9

Carter has been a monster and a coach's first-round pick dream. He's played in eight games and has typically been on the field for less than 50 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps.
His lack of reps hasn't stopped him from making an immediate impact as he's logged 16 total tackles, five sacks and 29 total pressures. His five sacks rank fifth among all defensive tackles.
He's also had to battle through injuries, but hopefully, he can have a consistent second half of the year after resting up this week.
Grade: A+
LB, Nolan Smith: Round 1, pick 30
When the Eagles drafted Smith, many thought he'd come in and do what Carter has already done, which is make an immediate impact.
Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case since Smith was buried on the depth chart during the offseason.
In nine games, he has just seven total tackles and a single sack on the season. He's done well on special teams, but nothing extraordinary. However, it doesn't help that he's gotten very few chances.
Until Smith can really do something, it's hard to grade him any higher.
Grade: C+
OG, Tyler Steen: Round 3, pick 65

Stepping up at right guard, Steen got his first start against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.
It wasn't perfect but there were plenty of positives, starting with the Eagles' first drive of the game as he opened up a lane for Kenny Gainwell to run in a touchdown.
Steen allowed one quarterback hit and six pressures. He was way better at run blocking than pass blocking. He also saved the Eagles by jumping on a fumble late in the game.
And with that play, we're going to go easy on him because we hate the Cowboys.
Grade: B-
S, Sydney Brown: Round 3, pick 66

Brown can't seem to stay healthy, which has put a damper on his rookie season.
Through six games, Brown has 18 tackles and one pass defended. There have been several moments where he's blown the coverage but also a handful of times where he's come up big.
He needs to find consistency. But we'll blame that on him being young and having a lot to learn.
Grade: C+
CB, Kelee Ringo: Round 4, pick 105

Ringo has logged four tackles through nine games. He's been a great help on Philly's special teams, which currently ranks 10th in the league.
Getting more playing time has obviously been hard for him on such a talented roster.
According to Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai, he's also been progressing and developing just fine behind the scenes.
However, the Eagles won't use him more until they absolutely have to. I can't wait to see more.
Grade: C
QB, Tanner McKee: Round 6, pick 188

McKee is the Eagles' third-string or emergency quarterback.
Since he hasn't seen any action yet, aside from the preseason, it's unfair to grade him at this point.
In order for him to play, both Jalen Hurts and Marcus Mariota would need to be injured. And here's to hoping that does not happen.
Grade: Incomplete
DT, Moro Ojomo: Round 7, pick 249
Ojomo has been inactive for most of the season, playing in just two games.
It also hasn't been easy for him to make his way up the depth chart that features such a talented defensive line room. Suffering a concussion at the beginning of the preseason didn't help his chances either.
Despite seeing only nine snaps this season, he's impressed his teammates on the scout team.
His time should be coming sooner, rather than later since the Eagles traded away Kentavius Street to the Atlanta Falcons last week.
Until then, we'll wait until we see more from him.
Grade: Incomplete.
The Eagles’ biggest midseason surprise: DT Jalen Carter
Give him the DROY award.
