NFL Power Rankings Week 10:
1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) ↔️
The Philadelphia Eagles Improved to an NFL-best 8-1 after their Week 9 28-23 win over the Dallas Cowboys, for arguably their biggest win of the season so far. Now, the Eagles remain in control of both their division and the NFC as a whole. The Eagles continue to show they weren't satisfied with last season's 2nd place finish. And they have their eyes set on the gold this year.
2. Baltimore Ravens (7-2) ↔️
The Baltimore Ravens yet again had a dominant performance. They put a beat down on the Seattle Seahawks on their way to a 37-3 win. And they did it without needing an elite performance from QB Lamar Jackson, who didn't score a single touchdown on the day. Instead, they saw a breakout performance from rookie RB Keaton Mitchell, who exploded for 138 yards and a touchdown. This win shows that the Ravens can beat you in multiple ways and are a serious threat in the AFC and the entire NFL.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) 📈 1
The Kansas City Chiefs got back on track, and all it took was a trip across the globe to Germany. In the first-ever NFL game in Frankfurt, Germany, the Chiefs pulled off a 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins. This was the first time the Chiefs have faced WR Tyreek Hill since he was traded to the Dolphins last offseason. And while Hill led the Dolphins in receiving with 62 yards, that was the 3rd lowest yards he has recorded this season. They also held him out of the endzone for the 2nd time this year.
4. Dallas Cowboys (5-3) 📉 1
The Dallas Cowboys fell to their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, in Week 9. But there were multiple positives to take away. The Cowboys showed they truly belong in the conversation with the best teams in the NFL. This was a big deal for a team that fumbled their last measuring stick opportunity against the San Fransisco 49ers earlier this season. In the NFL, the QB position gets a lot of the flack when their team loses, but Dak Prescott left it all on the field in Week 9. He threw for 374 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions on the day, but in the end, it wasn't enough to take down the now 8-1 Eagles.
5. Cincinnati Bengals (5-3) 📈 3
It is no longer a question of "if" the Cincinnati Bengals are back; they have answered that question with a certified "Yes." Since Burrow has gotten healthier, he and the Bengals offense have looked more like the team we have seen in recent years. They had the opportunity to put their recent success to the test against one of the top teams in the AFC, the Buffalo Bills. And it seems they wanted to make a statement, and they succeeded. They went on to pick up a 24-18 win and led 21-10 heading into the 4th quarter.
6. Detroit Lions (6-2) ↔️
7. Jacksonville Jaguars (6-2) ↔️
8. San Francisco 49ers (5-3) 📈 1
9. Miami Dolphins (6-3) 📉 4
The Miami Dolphins dropped their third game of the season in Week 9 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany. The Chiefs are the third team with a winning record on the season that the Dolphins have faced, and they have lost all three.
- Week 4 @ Buffalo Bills: 48-20 Loss
- Week 7 @ Philadelphia Eagles: 31-17 Loss
- Week 9 @ (Germany) Kansas City Chiefs Loss
The Dolphin's offense is undoubtedly the engine that makes this team go. But for them to reach the high goals they have set for themselves this season, they have to find a way to beat other strong teams. Luckily for them, though, they don't play another team with a current winning record until Week 16, when they are slated to play the Dallas Cowboys at home.
10. Buffalo Bills (5-4) ↔️
11. Cleveland Browns (5-3) 📈 2
12. Los Angeles Chargers (4-4) ↔️
13. Seattle Seahawks (5-3) 📉 2
14. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) 📈 1
While the Pittsburgh Steelers were still finding ways to win, their offense has struggled to find any form of rhythm. To shake things up, highly scrutinized offensive coordinator Matt Canada elected to move down to the field for the first time this season. And while there were still struggles, it was the best-called game of the season by Canada, in my opinion. If the Steelers can build off this win and continue to improve offensively, they could become a real threat in the AFC North and the entire AFC.
15. New Orleans Saints (5-4) 📈 2
16. New York Jets (4-4) 📉 2
17. Washington Commanders (4-5) 📈 1
18. Houston Texans (4-4) 📈 5
If CJ Stroud wasn't the favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year before Week 9, he certainly is now. His performance in Week 9 was incredible. The word incredible honestly doesn't do it justice; it was historical. Stroud threw for the most passing yards of any rookie in the history of the NFL with 470 yards. To add to his day, he threw five touchdowns and, most importantly, came away with the come-from-behind win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
19. Los Angeles Rams (3-6) 📉 3
20. Indianapolis Colts (4-5) 📈 2
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-4) 📉 2
22. Tennessee Titans (3-5) 📉 1
23. Minnesota Vikings (5-4) 📉
It never feels right to drop a team after a win, but it is now known that starting QB Kirk Cousins will for sure miss the rest of the season. And with the teams up and down through the early stages of the year, I have difficulty seeing them overcoming this adversity. This doesn't take away from their impressive Week 9 31-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons, and they did so with a QB they just acquired at the NFL trade deadline, Joshua Dobbs.
24. Green Bay Packers (3-5) 📈 2
25. Atlanta Falcons (4-5) 📉 1
26. Denver Broncos (3-5) 📈 1
27. Las Vegas Raiders (4-5) 📈 2
The Las Vegas Raiders decided to fire head coach Josh McDaniels this past week, and it has been all people around the league have been able to talk about since. With that known distraction in the air, all eyes were on the players to see how they would respond. The team rallied behind newly named interim head coach Antonio Pierce and not only pulled out the win but did so convincingly with a 30-6 win over the New York Giants. There are still clear roster holes on this team that may be too difficult for them to overcome, but it is evident that there is new life in that locker room, and this team is entirely behind the decision to fire McDaniels.
28. New England Patriots (2-7) ↔️
29. Chicago Bears (2-7) 📈 1
30. New York Giants (2-7) 📉 5
31. Arizona Cardinals (1-8) 📈 1
32. Carolina Panthers (1-7) 📉 1
