Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb took a big step in working his way back to the gridiron on Tuesday.

The team announced that Chubb had successfully undergone the second of two surgeries on his knee. Chubb had his ACL repaired on Tuesday, which is a follow-up on the meniscus injury he had as well.

After blowing out his knee in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, both surgeries are now complete for the star running back.

It is a huge step for Chubb, as he will now be able to turn his attention to recovery. The team stated that he is expected to be able to return during the 2024 season.

“Browns running back Nick Chubb underwent his scheduled second surgery today to repair the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as part of his knee injury sustained in the September game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Team Head Physician James Voos, MD, performed the surgery at University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Voos considered today's surgery successful and added that Nick's recovery has progressed very well following his first surgery in late September. As previously announced, the estimated recovery time from these surgeries indicates that Nick would be able to return to play during the 2024 season,” the team released in a statement.

Returning from this injury would be amazing considering that he blew out this same knee in college. But it goes to show how hard he works, it is just who he is.

This is certainly some good news on the fan favorite that will make fans smile from ear to ear.
