Deshaun Watson’s toughness is one thing that won’t ever be able to be questioned.

Against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10, Watson played two and a half quarters with the fractured shoulder that he suffered in the second quarter that will now force him to miss the rest of the season. It’s an incredible display of toughness that should be talked about.

Watson went 14-of-14 in the second half with a touchdown and led the Browns to a game-winning drive against the first-place team in the AFC North.

“Obviously we are very disappointed and devastated for Deshaun (Watson). One of the things I think about with last Sunday is, it was just such a testament to his physical and mental toughness,” general manager Andrew Berry said during his media availability on Wednesday morning.

Watson suffered an ankle sprain against the Ravens as well in the second quarter. He was just all around beat up and to play as well as he did, it’s just not something you can expect out of a player. He did it anyway.

It’s tough timing for the Browns, as Watson looked like he was at least starting to get back to that guy that the Browns believed they traded for.

Now, Cleveland won’t have Watson for the 2023 season. He remains in their future due to the fully guaranteed contract and that they still believe in him. Watson left some good football tape out there in his final game of the season while very beaten. It’s something his teammates will respect.
