Lamar Jackson has pinpointed the inefficiency from the Ravens offense as a reason why Baltimore failed to come away with a win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3.

"Like I said, we had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, especially when our defense did a great job at stopping those guys," Jackson said during his postgame press conference. "[We had] great field position [and] we didn’t move the ball at all. That ticked me off. It ticked all of us. We like to finish the job.

"The defense did great today. They always do great, but especially today giving us that opportunity to finish the game and we didn’t."

As Jackson touched on, the Ravens regularly had potent field position in both the second half and overtime period of their 22-19 loss to Indianapolis. For one, Baltimore’s first play of overtime came at the Indianapolis 48. The Ravens ended up punting the football away after the Jackson-led offense picked up a total of four yards on the drive.

Overall, Baltimore converted on 37.5 percent of its third downs in the contest. Jackson came away with several learning lessons from Baltimore’s inability to regularly pick up first downs against the Colts.

"We just have to lock in more [and] stay focused more," Jackson said. "[We need to] take what the defense gives us [and] try to move the ball the fastest we could, but conservatively."

The Ravens currently sit in first place in the AFC North standings with a 2-1 record.
