Gardner Minshew anchored six scoring drives in the Indianapolis Colts’ 22-19 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens, including one that resulted in a touchdown in the second quarter.
Minshew connected with running back Zack Moss for a 17-yard touchdown on the Colts’ fourth drive of the game. Moss not only managed to haul in the pass, but he also went on to find the end zone for the first receiving touchdown of his campaign.
Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen covered Moss on the play, and he believes that this touchdown reception from the versatile running back was the reason why Baltimore failed to move to a 3-0 record.
"I think I turned my head around too early, and he [Zack Moss] kind of got extended off of me," Queen said after the game. "Like I said, I can’t afford to do that stuff. I think I had good judgement on the ball, and unfortunately, I didn’t make the play.
"Like I said, if I don’t give up that touchdown, we win. So, put it on me. … It’ll be fixed, and I guarantee it won’t happen again."
Queen also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the play.
Queen entered Week 3 having allowed a 72.7 percent completion percentage and an 83.1 passer rating while in coverage.
The Ravens will next square off with the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. The fourth-year linebacker already has his sights set on this divisional matchup, and he hopes to do what he can to help Baltimore avoid stringing together a losing streak.
"We just can’t let this turn into two," Queen said. “We know who we’re going to next week and stuff, and it’s going to be the same thing — running the ball. So, if we can’t stop the run, then we’re going to be in trouble.
"So, the mindset is just now focusing on them, getting better and just being able to communicate and make the plays that we need to make."
The Ravens split their regular season series with the Browns in the 2022 campaign.
