On Monday Night Football, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with what appeared to be a season-ending Achilles injury. The injury happened on the first offensive drive for the Jets.

Even though Rodgers is no longer in the NFC North, this news will still impact every NFC North team. When the Green Bay Packers traded Rodgers to the Jets, they received a conditional second-round pick. If Rodgers were to play 65% of offensive snaps for the Jets, that pick would become a first-round selection for the Packers.

We do not have confirmation on the severity of the injury, but it's not looking good. If Rodgers is indeed done for the season, the Packers will lose a first-round pick.

This could be a big loss for a Packer team that is trying to rebuild after two decades of stability. The Packers will still have the pick, it'll just be a second-round selection instead of a first.

Any dreams the Packers fans had of collecting two first-round talents in the stacked 2024 NFL Draft are likely dead at this point.

While the Vikings will like it if the Packers lose a first-round selection, you absolutely hate to see injuries like this. Injuries to the Achilles are hard enough to come back from as a young player, much less a player in his 40s. If Rodgers indeed is done for the year, the Jets will likely pivot back to former No. 2 pick Zach Wilson.

The Jets, without Rodgers, managed to hold on to beat the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, 22-16.
