It seems like anytime Tennessee Vols redshirt senior quarterback Joe Milton is interviewed by someone from outside of Knoxville, he's asked about his arm strength.

Milton is known for his ability to effortlessly throw the ball down the field seemingly as far as necessary during games.

Milton is often asked how far he can throw a football and he usually, somewhat sheepishly, gives a general answer before quickly moving on to the next topic.

Tennessee fans know that Milton is more than just a quarterback who can throw the ball a mile. He's a quality quarterback who has played a big role in Tennessee's success under UT head coach Josh Heupel — especially when it comes to the elite culture that's been built on Rocky Top.

But while Milton, who is 5-1 as a starter at Tennessee, is much more than just a strong-armed quarterback, there's always going to some intrigue when it comes to how far he can throw a football.

And thanks to ESPN, we now know the exact number.

According to ESPN's Alex Scarborough, who recently wrote a detailed story about the Florida native, Milton can throw the ball 97 yards in the air.

Milton gave ESPN the exact number earlier this summer at the Manning Passing Academy in Louisiana.

97 yards is truly insane. That means the Vols are essentially never out of Hail Mary range with Milton (Tennessee, however, is obviously hoping they're not a in situation where they have to block long enough for receivers to get down the field so Milton can fire it 95 yards into the end zone while hoping it's caught…though it could be fun to see an attempt before halftime).

It remains to be seen how Milton's final season will play out at Tennessee, but there's no doubt that he's one of the most physically gifted players to ever take the field in Knoxville.
