Last Sunday was rough for the Detroit Lions defense. It might have been a tougher day for Lions' defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn though. His defense had given up big numbers to the Seahawks for the third year in a row.
In three years the Lions defense has allowed a total of 1,180 yards and 136 points against the Seattle Seahawks. It's like Pete Carroll and company have Glenn's number and they're going pull it every single time. We haven't heard from Glenn since Sunday. He talked with the media on Thursday morning and he immediately stepped in and took the blame.
"Execution at all levels has to be better." Glenn said. "I’m gonna say that with players, I’m gonna say that with coaches, and I'm gonna point the finger at me first."
It's always good to see accountability in your coaching staff. Glenn is going to need to make the necessary improvements and adjustments that need to be made going froward. While the Lions appear to have a soft spot int heir schedule going forward, they're facing some teams that have been able to put some points on the board and get wins. The Falcons could be a tough outing for sure.
Glenn has shown that he can do that in the past. The Lions defense struggled a lot in the early going of the 2022 season. Detroit Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell met with the media on Wednesday and had a lot of interesting things to say. There was talk about how both James Houston and C.J. Gardner-Johnson could be back this season and there was talk about Amon-Ra St. Brown having steel plates in his shoes too. But the thing […]
