Cleveland Browns have a positive boost going into their Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans.

When the Titans come to town, Cleveland will have a new but familiar No. 2 running back. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed on Friday that Kareem Hunt will be ready to go against Tennessee.

"Kareem's going to play. He's ready to play,” Stefanski said during his media availability.

Hunt will fill in behind now-starter Jerome Ford, who is a second-year player. Ford is coming off of his best game in his young career when he popped off for 106 rushing yards when Nick Chubb went down with the injury. Out of those yards, 69 of them came on a big run down the sideline after Ford reversed the field.

With Hunt taking over the No. 2 spot, Pierre Strong Jr. is the third running back and could see action as a kick returner. Ford’s days as a kick returner are over as he’s now the starter.

Being able to play just 4 days after joining the team is a testament to Hunt staying in shape and knowing the system. With the last four years spent in Cleveland, Hunt knows what the Browns want to do under Stefanski’s offense.

Even if Hunt is not the player he once was, he’s still a capable back who gives the Browns an extra punch when they step on the field.
