Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson bounced back from a two-drop game by scoring the first touchdown of the day against the New York Jets last Sunday.

Earlier that week, Ferguson needed a coach to call him to get him "out of that hole" following a rough night in New York in Week 1. But not only did his Week 2 confirm he had shaken it off, so did his sideline interactions before kickoff.

On the Cowboys' Sounds From the Sideline YouTube series, the team's mics caught him red-handed roasting a Jets' foe.

"Bro, he's got green hair," Ferguson tells teammate Peyton Hendershot in the video, leaning in like two old friends do when talking about other people. "If I ever do that, fine me."

Ferguson was talking about a fellow tight end, the Jets' C.J. Uzomah, who was indeed rocking a green-haired look.

Going down the old Twitter rabbit hole, I came to find out Uzomah's hair has been a talking point for Jets media for a while now. In the offseason, he had his hair mistakenly painted blonde when he was aiming for platinum. Uzomah was also spotted at the US Open rocking a bright blue earlier this month.

While Ferguson was having his fun against Uzomah pregame, the Cowboys defense took care of the job on the field. In limited playing time (15 snaps), C.J. went untargeted. Starting tight end Tyler Conklin did have five catches for 50 yards

Meanwhile, Ferguson's numbers don't jump off the page after just three catches (one was a touchdown) but he had another productive afternoon as a blocker. PFF graded him as the second-best run blocker of the game behind Tyron Smith (excluding Asim Richard, who played five snaps late in the game).
