It's sounding like things are starting to unravel in the Chicago Bears locker room and the coaches will need to put an end to it before it spreads to the other players.

After Friday's practice, Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool was asked by ESPN's Courtney Cronin in the locker room if the team is using him in a way to "showcase the best that he can do."

After a brief hesitation holding his tongue, Claypool answered the question honestly, "No," he said while shaking his head. CHGO Sports' host Mark Carman shared the entire interaction take place on his Twitter account.

The Bears acquired Claypool back in November after trading the 32nd overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers. And this isn’t the first time the Bears have had an issue with Claypool this season.

Cronin posted the full exchange from Friday's interaction with the Bears wide receiver on her Twitter account.

The Bears wide receiver currently has a 43.2 offensive PFF grade, the lowest PFF grade of his career, through three games in 2023. His play has already been criticized by both his quarterback Justin Fields and his coaching staff this season.

Claypool had his biggest game of the season in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown after heavy rumors that he could be benched after Week 1. Against the Chiefs, Claypool only caught one pass on four targets, going for 15 yards.

The third year wide receiver, and former second-round selection, voiced similar complaints during the final days of his tenure in Pittsburgh before eventually being traded to Chicago.
