It was just 19 days ago that Marcus Williams suffered what was first believed to be a season-ending injury. He came away from the Ravens’ regular season opener against the Houston Texans with a pec injury.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh downplayed concerns with Williams' injury a day after the game, noting that the safety’s ailment "may not be a season-ender though." Harbaugh went on to add during a press conference on Sept. 18 that the defensive back would not undergo surgery for his pec injury and also not be placed on the injured reserve list.

Williams made his return to practice on Wednesday, which came after he was sidelined from Baltimore’s matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts. He then went on to be a full participant in Baltimore's practice sessions on both Thursday and Friday.

Harbaugh was pleased to see Williams take part in practice this week.

"It's great to have him [Marcus Williams] back out there," Harbaugh said during a press conference on Friday. "Obviously, [he's] been working hard, and that's a big, big plus for us."

At the moment, Harbaugh is not sure whether Williams, who is listed as questionable for Week 4, will receive the green light to play against Cleveland.

"We'll see on Sunday," Harbaugh said. "You don't know until you get there. He [Marcus Williams] practiced, and we'll see what happens — see if he can do it."

If Williams ends up being ruled out for Week 4, then Geno Stone will once again be called on to help replace the veteran safety in the secondary.
