Can the Texans battered offensive line hold off T.J. Watt?

The biggest and most defining matchup of this game is also going to be the most lopsided one. The Texans will officially be without offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil and Josh Jones. Austin Deculus was elevated from the team's practice squad and is expected to start at tackle alongside George Fant.

Deculus and Fant will have a tough battle ahead of them against a dominant Steelers defensive front. The Steelers defense is tied for the most sacks (13) and the second-most turnovers (8) in the league in 2023.

Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt has continued to be a menace on the defensive line, leading the league with six sacks through three games. The former Defensive Player of the Year is making his case to earn yet another trophy in 2023.

While Pittsburgh's defense has managed to get after the quarterback and create turnovers, the unit has also allowed the fifth-most total yards per game (387.0) and third-most rushing yards per game (151.7).

This could be the week that the Texans get the ground game going with running back Dameon Pierce. The second-year back has yet to eclipse 50+ rushing yards in a game through the first three weeks.

If Houston can get the ground game going and quarterback C.J. Stroud can continue his streak of not throwing an interception, the Texans should have a shot to secure an upset at home.

3 other players to keep an eye on:

WR Tank Dell- Dell has started off his rookie campaign at record setting pace and should have another big game against the Steelers secondary. Opposing top wide receivers have torched Pittsburgh's defense through the first three games of 2023.

S Jalen Pitre- The Texans' team captain is back and expected to play after suffering a bruised lung in Week 1's loss to the Ravens. The second-year defensive back is feeling good and is ready to bring the energy back to the Texans' secondary.

DE Will Anderson Jr.- If the Texans want to come away with another win, they need to make another big play on defense or special teams. Anderson Jr. had a huge blocked field goal in Week 3's win and is still looking for his first career fumble.
