Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Trey Smith has quickly gone from a player who was selected in the later rounds (Round Six) of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs to one of the most respected offensive linemen in the NFL.

Smith, who fell in the draft due to health concerns (he proceeded to start every game as a rookie for the Chiefs), has quickly developed a reputation as one of the best guards in the league. It seems like every week there's a clip of Smith bullying a defender that goes viral.

After the Chiefs' recent game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Smith received a compliment from one of the biggest current stars in the NFL.

Smith and Eagles center Jason Kelce met at midfield after Philadelphia's win and the future hall of fame offensive lineman had some kind words for the former Vols standout.

The moment was captured in a "mic'd up" video that was released by the Chiefs.

"I've told this to your sister, [you're] by far one of my favorite players to watch," said Kelce. "Hands down. Passion, energy, aggression. You're a f—ing hell of a player. Stay healthy. Dominate."

(Smith's sister, Ashley, is the manager of Player Engagement at the NFL office in New York City.)

It's rare that an offensive lineman is described as one of the biggest stars in the NFL, but Kelce has entered that stratosphere thanks to his role with the Eagles, his "New Heights" podcast, and his brother's (Travis) relationship with Taylor Swift.

Smith is also becoming a big star as an offensive lineman thanks to the way he plays the game. And it's clear that some of the NFL's best players agree.
