The Jacksonville Jaguars went through a ton of injuries in their Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. There were some really scary ones, like Trevor Lawrence's leg getting bent backward, and there were some that may not have even been seen on the field but still happened.
As far as Lawrence, Doug Pederson said it looked worse than what it was. Lawrence, the Jaguars franchise guy, could be out a game, but Pederson said that he isn't quite sure yet if he will miss any games, as it is a high ankle sprain.
But this could mean the Jaguars will be without Lawrence for at least a game. Then again, we saw Patrick Mahomes get a high ankle sprain against the Jaguars and then play the very next week and actually finish out that game.
Just remember, though, everyone's injury is different.
The worst news of the day came when Pederson was talking about Christian Kirk. Kirk, who caught one pass for 26 yards, went down as soon as he caught it and looked to be in a ton of pain on what was a non-contact injury.
Monday, Pederson said it looked to be a core muscle injury, and he will be "out" for some time. When asked if Kirk was going to need surgery, Pederson followed up with, "I believe so." That would have the Jaguars without their number-one guy for some time, which is not good at all. The team is, though, getting a second opinion.
Here are some of the other injuries and what we know from Monday:
Tyson Campbell (day-to-day w/ right quad strain).
Walker Little (left hamstring strain; will be monitored)
Tre Herndon (concussion protocol)
Foley Fatukasi (left heel contusion; day-to-day)
Andre Cisco (he’ll be fine after hurting shoulder)
The Jaguars have an important stretch of games coming up now, as they are only one game above the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
