Oklahoma Sooners offensive lineman Nate Anderson, a former four-star recruit from Frisco, TX entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday and he has a unique connection to the Tennessee Vols.

Anderson, who was rated as the No. 1 offensive guard in the 2020 recruiting class, is the older brother of 2024 four-star Vols commit Max Anderson (also an interior offensive lineman).

The older Anderson, who appeared in all 12 games for Oklahoma in 2023, never really put it all together with the Sooners, but he's still a player the Vols could take a look at give their connection to him.

It also helps that he spent the last two seasons playing in Jeff Lebby's offensive system at Oklahoma, which is essentially the same as Josh Heupel's offensive system (Lebby was an assistant for two seasons under Heupel at UCF, including one season as the offensive coordinator). Anderson's learning curve at Tennessee would be small because of that experience.

The talent is obviously there. Maybe a change of scenery is all Anderson needs to reach his potential.
