There is still no clear-cut favorite for the 2023 AP NFL MVP award. According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and San Francisco 49ers passer Brock Purdy each are tied for the best odds (+300) to win the league’s most prestigious individual honor.

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons took some time during his "The Edge with Micah Parsons" podcast to chime in on the NFL MVP debate. He named his top five candidates for the honor, and to no surprise, he penciled in Prescott atop the list. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Purdy, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson rounded out his ranking.

Parsons added that if Hill goes on to reach the 2,000 receiving yards mark this season, then the all-around wideout "should" take home the NFL MVP honor.

Jackson has been in the conversation for the NFL MVP award all season long. He has tallied 18 total touchdowns, with 11 such scores coming against teams that currently boast a winning record. He has also notched a 98.4 passer rating this year.

Jackson will have multiple opportunities over the rest of the year to up his odds for the award, especially as four out of Baltimore's remaining five regular season games will come against teams that currently hold a playoff spot.
