In Week 12, the Cleveland Browns are back at it against the Denver Broncos and they’ll do it without their top player in the secondary.
The Browns ruled out CB Denzel Ward on Friday with a shoulder injury, along with WR Marquise Goodwin (concussion). Both players will appear on the inactive list for Cleveland today.
Cleveland listed LB Anthony Walker Jr. (hamstring) and S Juan Thornhill (calf) as questionable to play against Denver.
Walker practiced on Friday and it was a surprise, he was said to be ‘week-to-week’ earlier in the week. Cleveland will have Sione Takitaki and Jordan Kunaszyk there to add depth if it is needed.
Thornhill being back is important when you factor in that his backup went down with a season-ending injury. Rodney McLeod will be missed for the rest of the season with a biceps injury that required surgery. Behind Thornhill is rookie Ronnie Hickman and D’Anthony Bell. Cleveland opted to elevate Tanner McCallister from the practice squad.
Browns inactive list:
LB Anthony Walker Jr.
WR Marquise Goodwin
CB Denzel Ward
C Luke Wypler
DE Isaiah McGuire
DT Siaki Ika
T Leroy Watson IV
