The NFL announced on Wednesday the first round results of fan voting for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, and the Baltimore Ravens have four players who are among the leading vote-getters at their respective positions.
For one, Kyle Hamilton so far leads all AFC strong safeties in Pro Bowl votes. The second-year safety has defined versatility for the Ravens this year, from the 50.0 passer rating allowed in coverage to the 3.0 sacks recorded.
Hamilton would be "thankful" if he ends up earning a Pro Bowl nod this season, but he has bigger goals in mind.
"It's cool," Hamilton said during a press conference on Thursday. "At the same time, we still have five games to go until the playoffs start, and that's when our season starts in my mind. It's a one-week season going to the playoffs, but right now, we have to focus on finishing out the season.
"Realistically, I don't want to play in the Pro Bowl. I want to play in the Super Bowl. That's a mindset that everybody here has, and it'll be cool to be nominated for it, for sure, and I'll be thankful if that does happen, but not the priority at this point."
As Hamilton touched on, this sentiment sure is one that every other player on Baltimore’s roster has. It is safe to say that they all would much prefer to play a vital role in helping the Ravens pull off a deep playoff run than take part in this season's Pro Bowl Games.
The Ravens are set to return to action in Week 14 with a home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
