The Carolina Panthers sit at 1-10. On Monday, they decided enough was enough. They just fired head coach Frank Reich in his first season at the helm.

The Panthers weren't expected to contend for the division this season, but their performances were quite rough. All in all, they disappointed. The New Orleans Saints know plenty about that this year, but yet, head coach Dennis Allen remains in charge.

Reich’s 11 games with the Panthers is the 2nd shortest head coaching tenure in NFL history. Panthers rookie QB Bryce Young will have to learn a new offensive playbook once again.

The Saints are 5-6 in a season where they were NFC South favorites. The offense has been mediocre, and the defense is underperforming for how much talent they have. You could argue that, compared to expectations, New Orleans is disappointing even more than Carolina so far.

The issues from last year remain for Dennis Allen's team. they lack an identity.

They don't rush the passer well, nor defend the run consistently. They aren't a high-flying passing offense, but their rushing attack isn't a top unit in the NFL, either.

Overall, the Dennis Allen-led team plays sloppy, unenthused football. That's nothing new, and New Orleans has plenty of evidence of that.

Nick Underhill reports that seats could get increasingly hot in New Orleans soon. They should have already been on fire after the Saints began the campaign at 5-5 against an easy schedule.

New Orleans should have moved on already, but the latest move by the Panthers is another example of a team making the move that the Saints continue to ignore.
