Kyle Hamilton has defined versatility in his second season with the Baltimore Ravens.

Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald has issued Hamilton a multitude of on-field tests this season, and the all-around defensive back continues to pass each one with flying colors. Whether it has been as a safety or as a nickel cornerback, he has added another dimension to Baltimore’s well-rounded defense.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is impressed with just how Hamilton has emerged as a do-it-all player on the defensive side of the ball.

"He's been something," Harbaugh said after Week 12. "He's all over the field. We put more on his plate every single week, and he makes the most of it. He cleans his plate, so we'll keep putting more on there."

Hamilton is coming off of a formidable performance in Baltimore’s road win against the Los Angeles Chargers. He helped contain the Justin Herbert-led Chargers offense, allowing a mere 27 yards in coverage.

Macdonald has been pleased to see Hamilton blossom in his second year with the Ravens.

"He's a special player," Macdonald said on Monday. "He can do just about anything on the football field, and we ask a lot of him, and we're very excited to have him. But he's playing at a high level right now."

Hamilton sure is making a strong case to earn AP First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors this season.
