For the third straight game, Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett did not record a sack.

Garrett is battling a shoulder injury but still looked dominant, despite not having a sack. The All-Pro’s presence was felt by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who had to go to their fourth option at left tackle against Cleveland.

Coming away from the game, Garrett is not happy with NFL officiating and he has a right to be. Garrett was held multiple times, clearly, but they were rarely flagged. No. 95 did not hold back in his message for the league.

“The officiating was a travesty today. It was honestly awful,” Garrett told the media following the Week 14 matchup. “And the fact that they’re letting them get away with hands to the face, holding, false starting. I know they called a couple, but d*mn, they could have called it all game.”

Garrett had one tackle and made a sack on an attempted two-point conversion, though individual stats do not count on the conversion attempt.

“I mean, respect to those guys, it’s a hard job, but hell, we have a hard job as well. You can’t make it harder by throwing, holding, and hands to the face out the rulebook. And like I said, I got a lot of respect for those guys, but we get scrutinized for the plays that we don’t make. So someone has to hold them accountable for the plays or the calls they don’t make. And they need to be under the same kind of microscope as we are every single play.”

We will likely see Garrett fined for his postgame comments and he knew that before he spoke. The star pass rusher is voicing his displeasure with officiating hoping to see a chance. That change likely won’t happen this season, as we’ve watched officiating be an issue week in and week out.

Garrett has 13 sacks on the season and is heading for an All-Pro nod. He’d likely have a few more if he wasn’t held often and that’s what he’s frustrated about.
