While all the attention was on Patrick Mahomes after Sunday's game, Josh Allen stood to the side.
And when he got his moment to talk after the game, the Buffalo Bills quarterback proved why he's a true leader, speaking about the play that sparked all the controversy.
Mahomes located Travis Kelce who carried the ball passed the 30, but was caught between a few Bills defenders. He looked back and with quick thinking, sent the ball to Kadarius Toney who took it into the end zone.
"That's the ballsiest play I've ever seen in my entire life," Allen told NFL Network's James Palmer. "Unbelievable."
This would have give the Bills the ball back with only 1 minute and 12 seconds remaining on the clock. And it would have given the Chiefs a four point lead, forcing Buffalo to get a touchdown if they wanted to win.
However, the play got called back after the officials ruled that Toney lined up offsides.
It wasn't Kelce or Toney who reacted, but rather Mahomes. And he didn't hold back.
Mahomes was yelling (and swearing) at the officials, and had to be held back by his teammates at one point.
He even had a petty moment when speaking with Josh Allen postgame, still complaining about the call rather than taking a moment to say good game to the quarterback.
Allen could have been angry after this happened, but he kept his cool in that moment and proceeded to do so after the game. He proved himself to be a true leader in that moment, focusing on his team and the hard-fought win they had just earned rather than all the drama.
Patrick Mahomes should be embarrassed after postgame interaction with Josh Allen
This was not a good look for Patrick Mahomes.
