Kyle Hamilton suffered a sprained MCL injury during the Baltimore Ravens' home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hamilton will now be "considered week to week" due to his injury.
Hamilton appeared to have sustained the knee ailment during the first quarter of Baltimore’s win over Los Angeles. He went down after bumping knees with Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua on the first play of Los Angeles' third drive on offense. He managed to walk to the sideline on his own power and later made his way to the locker room.
The Ravens initially ruled Hamilton as questionable to return due to his knee injury. He did make his way back to the field on the Ravens' next defensive drive. However, the former Notre Dame standout was later sidelined for the remainder of the contest during the third quarter.
Hamilton ended up recording seven total tackles over 43 snaps played on defense for the Ravens against the Rams.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday that Hamilton "looks like he will be day-to-day," and that the safety has a "chance" to play in Baltimore’s Week 15 road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If Hamilton does not receive the green light to play in the contest, then defensive backs such as Arthur Maulet are expected to be called on to help fill in for him.
The Ravens head into their upcoming game against the Jaguars boasting a 10-3 record on the season.
