Ronnie Stanley came away from the Baltimore Ravens’ road win against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a concussion.
Stanley suffered the concussion during Gus Edwards’ 20-yard run in the fourth quarter of the contest. He did not make his way back to the field, as Patrick Mekari filled in for him at the left tackle position the rest of the way.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh noted after his team's 16-point victory over Jacksonville that he believes Stanley "will be OK."
To the delight of Baltimore’s coaching staff, Stanley took part in the Ravens' first practice session of the week on Wednesday.
The Ravens will not release an injury report on Wednesday, as they will play on "Monday Night Football."
Stanley has missed four games this season. A knee injury sustained during Baltimore’s regular season opener against the Houston Texans forced the veteran offensive tackle to miss three games. He also went on to sit out the Ravens' home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals last month due to a knee ailment.
If Stanley ends up being sidelined from Baltimore's upcoming road game against the San Francisco 49ers, then Mekari is expected to be called on to start out at left tackle in the contest.
