The Baltimore Ravens extended their winning streak to four games following their 23-7 road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Baltimore’s defense rose to the occasion against the Jaguars. The Roquan Smith-led Ravens defense tallied two takeaways and also did not allow a single red zone touchdown to the Jaguars. On the other hand, the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens rush offense recorded an astounding 251 rushing yards on a 6.0 yards per rush attempt average.
Jackson came away from the win not completely satisfied because of a missed opportunity during the second half.
"Believe we left some plays out there on that field because if I would have thrown a better pass to Bateman in that end zone, that would have been a touchdown," Jackson said during his postgame press conference.
"So, I’m pissed off about that as well, but we got the ‘dub.’ We clinched the playoffs, so I’m happy a little bit about that."
Jackson was referring to his third-down pass attempt to Rashod Bateman in the fourth quarter. He failed to connect with the third-year wideout in the end zone, and the Ravens ended up capping off the drive with a 26-yard field goal from kicker Justin Tucker.
Bateman did emerge as one of Jackson’s go-to targets against the Jaguars; he caught three passes from him for 39 receiving yards in the contest.
The Ravens will head into Week 16 holding the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
