Keaton Mitchell suffered an ACL tear during the Baltimore Ravens’ road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport noted that Mitchell underwent an MRI to determine the extent of his knee injury, and it confirmed that the rookie running back has a torn ACL ailment. The former East Carolina standout “should make a full recovery.”

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday that Mitchell does not have "cartilage-type damage" on his knee.

Mitchell suffered the knee injury during the fourth quarter of the Ravens' win over the Jaguars. He was tripped up from behind by Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard on his 13-yard run. He needed help in getting off the field after the play, and he was later carted to the locker room.

Overall, Mitchell recorded 489 yards from scrimmage and two total touchdowns in eight games played this season.

The Ravens will continue to rely on Gus Edwards to lead their ground game, and as Harbaugh noted on Sunday, the team will call on Melvin Gordon to fill in for Mitchell.
