The Kansas City Chiefs are finally making an addition to their wide receiver room.

According to KPRC2 NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Chiefs are signing WR Anthony Miller, who is a former 2018 second-round draft pick by the Chicago Bears out of the University of Memphis.

Listed at 5-11 and 205 pounds, Miller has recorded 140 receptions for over 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns during 50 career games (18 starts) in the NFL. He spent three seasons in Chicago, with current Chiefs OC Matt Nagy as his head coach for all three seasons. He's since spent time with the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he last played in a game during the 2021 NFL season.

Miller spent the 2023 NFL offseason with the San Francisco 49ers, but he didn't make it through 53-man roster cuts. He also spent a week on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad back in October.

Miller's best season came in 2019 when he caught 52 passes for 656 yards and two scores. He was more productive scoring points as a rookie when he had seven touchdowns for the Bears. He also has three games over 100 receiving yards during his career.

Miller fits a bit more what the Chiefs are losing in Skyy Moore, who was just placed on injured reserve.

However, It's not yet clear exactly how Miller is joining the team. He could be signed to the 53-man roster, he could sign to the practice squad, or the team could even sign him to a reserve/future contract. If it's the latter, he won't formally join the team until after the 2023 NFL season comes to a close and the new league year begins in March of 2024.

In addition to Miller, Wilson reports that the Chiefs added TE Izaiah Gathings, who worked out for the team on Monday (read more about Gathings below).
