The Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs rivalry has never been friendly, even though the Raiders have only beaten the Chiefs once with Patrick Mahomes as the quarterback. When you factor in what happened last season in both games, it makes it even worse on the Raiders side.
In the first matchup between these two teams on Monday Night Football last season, the Raiders were very close to beating the Chiefs. They had a chance at the end of the game to do so, but of course, the Davante Adams-Hunter Renfrow situation happened, where the two ran into each other wide open.
Then, Davante Adams had a situation where he pushed a photographer. It was a lot in one day. Of course, the second matchup saw the Chiefs win as well, but in this tie, they got a bit cocky and did their little snow globe play that has since pissed Everyone off, not on that team.
It's safe to say Antonio Pierce doesn't want that to happen again this time around.
"We saw the ring around the Rosie they did last year here; it's part of the game, it's cool, but the best way to stop trick plays is to hit them in the mouth," Pierce said Wednesday when asked about the Chiefs trick plays.
This is how Josh McDaniels should have acted when it happened. Not the way he did. He should have said that they shouldn't have allowed it to happen. I have a feeling that Antonio Pierce will not let it happen, and if it does, he damn sure won't let his defense get scored on. Not to mention, the Chiefs offense isn't near as good as it was last season.
Expect a bit of a different game on Monday.
